Women hockey tours on the rise!

If there is one sport that has experienced a steady growth, it’s women's hockey! The number of women’s hockey teams traveling to Europe skyrocketed over the past decade and there is no end in sight.

Not only is there an increasing number of teams and leagues across Canada, but the trend is similar in several European countries. Minor hockey teams blossomed as did the Ladies Old Timers’ teams. Competition is fierce in hockey hotbeds such as Sweden and Finland, but women’s hockey has spread to countries such Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and even Croatia. As we say at MSAT.CA hockey is the main reason behind a hockey tour, but everything we organize around the games is more than just icing on the cake. The gals make us proud and we receive more requests and invitations than ever before for Canadian women’s teams to play the game overseas.
